"Our aim as innkeepers is to ensure that your stay with us will be a memorable experience that will encourage you to return again."

THE FRONT STREET INN is located in the Belcher Fuller House circa 1851, overlooking Beaufort Inlet—on the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina’s southern Outer Banks. From our south-facing porches, enjoy watching sunrises and sunsets, sailing boats and wild horses across Taylor’s Creek.

The inn is within walking distance of the boardwalk and floating docks, neighbored by village restaurants, shops, galleries, historic sites and homes, as well as the Maritime Museum, which includes artifacts from Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge, grounded offshore in 1718. Tour the barrier islands by boat and watch dolphin and wild horses around the islands of Rachel Carson Reserve. Ferry to Shackelford Banks and Cape Lookout Lighthouse. Other activities include kayaking, parasailing, paddle boarding, scuba diving and fishing. Nearby are the North Carolina Aquarium and Fort Macon State Park, which offers public beach access as well as tours of the fort.

Since opening The Front Street Inn is ranked #1 on TripAdvisor 2014 and 2015 in Beaufort!

The Ambience of the Inn

Named for early settlers and owners, our rooms and suites are comfortably appointed with period antiques. The ambience of the inn allows guests to imagine Capt. Thomas watching the 1862 shelling of Fort Macon, or walking a sandy path home from his wharf.
